Almåsa ski resort is operated by the company Destination Almåsa AB and the non-profit association Almåsabacken with support from the club Almåsa AK. Together they ensure that the lifts are running, the slopes are groomed, the pub is open, ski school is organized and everything else required to keep a ski resort running.
The ability to operate and develop Almåsa Alpin is entirely dependent on the voluntary work that is put in. During the 25/26 season, more than 120 people helped to operate the lift, run the pub, renovate and maintain the lift, prepare the facility for the start of the season through mattressing, netting and cleaning, clearing brushwood, board work and much more. We are enormously grateful for all this drive and commitment that exists in the local community to ensure that Almåsa can continue. In total, the voluntary work is estimated to approximately 1750 hours during the 25/26 season.
A ski resort has many expenses. Power charges, electricity, fuel, machinery and maintenance are major burdens. Therefore we are enormously grateful to our sponsors who contribute their services free of charge or sponsor us with capital to be able to pay bills and make forward investments.
